HIMYM Season....um...what season is it?

    A damn fine MILF, anyway.

It was a sad ending. You've got to feel sorry for people who think this is a brainless, all-happy-time show. It's developed a flair for the dramatic.

A LOT of HIMYM message boards are rebelling against the "ploy" of the disappearing kids, though.

Because although Robin has always said that she doesn't WANT kids, last night clearly showed that she at least wants the option of having kids. Now she really can't change her mind. It also makes a lot of sense for why Robin is eventually so close to Ted's children.

I would be surprised if watching Lily get pregnant and eventually have a kid is affecting her state of mind as well. The fact that she can't have kids makes it one more thing that she'll never share with her best friend.

I thought it was a nice change of pace to have Robin narrating the story and a crushing turn to have her speaking to her never-will-be-born children. I thought the ploy worked perfectly. And is it unrealistic to imagine that Robin would get drunk, wander to a park and think about the children she'll never have?

Also, it told you a lot about Robin that she imagined her children being born with Barney. Kevin was nowhere to be seen in this episode. I think we took an enormous step forward in the Robin plot this week.

It definitely made sense and it certainly says a lot that she sees Barney as the father of gf the imaginary kids.

I just thought it was interesting because she chose to stay with Kevin rather than leave him for Barney.

Last two episodes have had no direction...they really are stretching this crap out. I kind wish this was the last season...it has it's ups, but lots of downs lately.

They need to get back to Ted's and Robin's relationships. It's always been what the show does best, together or separate.

I did like the altered show opening and theme last night.

I thought the Tailgate episode was very good ... and I thought last night's stunk. Just no funny moments. This is supposed to be a comedy, right? That's kind of been the story of the season. You get a good ep every two or three weeks if you're lucky. Kind of like The Office right now, I'm just in it until the end because I like the characters. But my expectations have been lowered considerably.

What did you guys think about them possibly extending the series into What Happened After I Met Your Mother?

(I'm all for it because we've spent seven seasons listening to Ted blather on about this woman and if the end the series with them meeting, I'm gonna be pissed. I want to know who this woman IS.)

Yeah, I'd watch. I've invested this much time into it...might as well see it to the end, whenever they decide that.
