Not just Robin, the whole group, not even NPH.

Come on, guys. We're obviously not doing this again. Ted was drunk, and Robin was devastated. Maybe they have sex. They're not going to date. This tryst, or non-tryst, will be the point where Ted decides he needs the separation from Barney and Robin that Victoria talked about.

Edited: Inky_Wretch said basically the same thing above.

Nice theory. Wish I'd thought of it.

That would make more sense than another round of Ted and Robin, and I'm sure that is why we didn't see Robin's response.

I just hope the show actually holds Ted accountable for being a jerk, like maybe having Robin tear him a new one for picking that moment to once again profess his love for her.

I'm hoping when Ted goes solo, he kind of disappears from the show a bit.

But the show is about how he met his kids' mom.

I don't mean totally gone from the show. He's been a secondary player recently, and I've liked it.

I don't care if Ted-Robin this time doesn't go anywhere, even if it is resolved in the first five seconds of the next episode. It's a stupid fucking cliffhanger. We've seen this 20 fucking times already, two or three times in the first season, all the way through the second season, in drunken hookups and attempted rekindlings since then. We know, for a fucking fact, that it's a dead end. That the writers would even point down the "Robin-Ted" path again is insulting.

At least with other forever on again, off again sitcom relationships, there was reason to believe it may someday all click. Ross and Rachel, J.D. and Elliott, at least you knew it COULD work out, even if it got annoying when they dangled it in front of us once every six episodes. I so rarely cut shows from my DVR, and I probably won't cut this one, but for the first time, I'm frustrated and bored enough with the show to consider it.

This. We found out in the first episode of this show that Robin was not the mother. WHY OH WHY are we still on this in season SEVEN?!

I think the producers and writers of this cash cow are finally realizing about the show what they had Ted say to Robin at their first breakup: "We have an expiration date, don't we?"

I wish Ted fell off the platform leaving the drunk train and died thus ending this shitstorm of a show.
