I see your point. Ted is the worst character on the show. That wasn't always the case, but he has become less and less likeable over the years.

That's exactly what my wife was complaining about. It made no sense.

I thought all of the times Ted was best man was for college friends. Since Ted went to college with Marshall and Lily, they must also know those guys. But, to your point, it doesn't explain Barney and Robin being there, unless they've all gotten together previously and become acquaintances.

The way these guys drink, they should be hungover every day. (been there, done that).

When I was drinking like that I didn't get many hangovers thanks to a high tolerance.

How does one play Edward 40hands by oneself? Once you've duct taped a 40 to one hand, how can you possibly duct tape the other? Unless McPoyle had his wife (or kids) set him up for solo Edward 40hands. Really, I was concerned about that plot hole.

The thing about stunt casting is that it works. People will watch.

Me? I'm just happy we are finally going to see the slutty pumpkin.

Ted the worst character on the show? I didn't realize Robin had been killed off already.
    ____

Maybe one could could finish the 40-hands taping job with one's teeth?

OK, wow...didn't see that ending coming up. Then again...I don't ever remember Robin showing up in the future when they are older...so maybe she does go away for a while (since Ted's kids know who she is when he is telling this story) in the near future.

Going back to season 1 and the "Aunt Robin and Uncle Barney" reference...I still don't believe that Robin and Barney end up together and it's just one of those ways to have kids call close adult friends of their parents.

Oh, and best line of the night goes to Ted: "Just tell me what coin size she is."

    I've always been a nickel-man myself...

I liked the two parts of the episodes, but didn't like them together -- too much director cuteness for me. I would have liked to have seen Barney win instead of be foiled as usual -- he's much better as a winner. And while Ted has great chemistry with Victoria and it was good to see them together, her speech to him before they got on the Jitney rang hollow.

And not to be a prude, but this is an 8 p.m. show -- way too much boob talk.

I was a little surprised by the ending, too, but there have been mentions of Robin travelling quite a bit during her life,

As far as all the boob talk is concerned, meh. They have always talked about sex quite a bit on this show. Besides, they follow this with Two Broke Girls, a show that had a "She's coming/cumming" double entendre about a minute into the first episode.
