HIMYM Season....um...what season is it?

Just watched it online. I did like Barney and Quinn together in this one, but overall? Meh.

  2. An OK episode, though I do like Quinn and Barney.

I thought the "Quintervention" scene was pretty funny, especially Marshall's insistence on adding "Quinn" to any word that it would work with.

Otherwise, I was mildly intrigued by the not talking to Robin for a while angle and that's about it.

I think my favorite part was the Barney and Quinn doing the couple no-look high five.

I don't think he quit. Wasn't there a very recent episode about him picking up women with a professorial wardrobe?

I was glad to see that Lilly and the gang finally got called on their meddling, but otherwise the episode wasn't much to write home about.

I understand that mentality if it's one of Ted's relationships, but why this one? I'm not convinced Robin-Barney is a guarantee, even though I'd love to see it.

They've been called out several times. It's every episode of the show.

The HIMYM season finale on May 14 will be an hour long episode. From TVLine.com:

On Barney’s wedding day, his wife is finally revealed, and the gang reminisces about the time they encouraged Ted to follow his heart and go after the one that got away.

The one that got away? Isn't that Robin? What the hell? Also, I'm starting to believe that Barney is going to get married to...none of the above. His wife it's going to be someone we haven't met yet.

Robin isn't the one that got away. Robin is the one that kept coming back.

Remember, though, that Ted has seen The Mother's ankle and somehow fell in love with her because he couldn't keep focused on Rachel Bilson. That's probably the biggest stretch the show has made. As a reminder, Rachel Bilson looks like this:

  11. Technically, in the pure sense of the term, the one that got away would be Stella.

"The one that got away" ... Could they be playing with a fishing metaphor there, taking it back to the On The Hook episode? The girl there, the one whose heart Ted broke, I think she was a student librarian and thus could satisfy the requirements of being in the class he mistakenly lectured and being Rachel Bilson's roommate.

I don't recall her being all that attractive, though, which would be the main hole on this theory.
