HIMYM Season....um...what season is it?

I thought so. Tons of sight gags. Barney answers the door all sweaty, closes it and reappears manicured and in full suit. Quinn putting the storm trooper helmet back on at the end. The trucker-hat guy. Marshall's mustache.

I laughed more during that I episode than I ever would during any of the other CBS Monday shows, for what it's worth.

I'm always partial to a good fart joke, so I liked the end.

I'm with you. Thought the episode was hilarious, especially Robin cracking up when she was in Barney's apartment in the storm trooper suit. That had me laughing my ass off.

I liked it, but I like most of them.

The more I think about this show, I keep coming back to this concept for how the series ends: At some point before the 2030 starting point of the show, the mother has died.

Carter and Bays have built up all this suspense, all this wondering about the identity of the mother, that no matter who it is or how they meet, it's going to be a Lost-style letdown.

But it would be a hell of a way to surprise viewers who are so focused on the who/what/where/when of the meeting that they don't see that curveball coming.

    The last episode was horrible.

They've disintegrated into silliness while trying to stretch out the series.

It made perfect sense for the character given the situation, but do we really want to see Barney "grow up?"

I would agree with this, except I would think that if this was the scenario that happened, both the dad and the kids would be a little sadder. And I would hope that Ted would cut out telling them about all of the girls he banged in his 20s.

One of the flashback episodes had Ted looking for his wife at some sort of event before he, Marshall and Lily stepped out to enjoy a "sandwich."

So I don't think the mother is dead. Jason Segel has said he'd prefer to see an episode where the zombie apocalypse had occurred and it was the last story before they all died.

I always thought the mom would finally interject and tell the final episode. Corny or not, it seems the most believable finale.

I am waiting for the last episode where they hint at the spin-off: "How I Met Your Father" which will include the cast of HIMYM in background roles or cameos and will follow the mom through her mid 20s.

OK, I lied...I hope they don't do that...I'm ready for the show to wrap up.
