HIMYM Season....um...what season is it?

Huh. I like Ted. And I have no problem with Kevin. Week in, week out I still like the show a lot.

 

I agree.

I still agree with the theory that the mom is Barney's half-sister, who would be at the wedding, was away at college when Barney met his dad, so fits in the intro classroom, probably would have a roommate, so fits there. Plus, then Uncle Barney and Aunt Robin would truly fit.

 

Maybe she doesn't know who the father is and the cliffhanger will be who is the father.

If the baby comes out followed by a cloud of smoke, it's Kumar's.

If it comes out and high-fives the doctor, it's Barney's.

I'm with you. I prefer Kevin to Nora. Or anyone but Victoria and Stella that Ted's dated. Oh, actually, Rachel Bilson can be in every episode of every show ever.

Curious: How long after Ted meets the mother should the show continue? If we're introduced to the mother in the last episode of this season, would people be furious if the show just ended on that? I wouldn't mind either way. It could be a fun twist: This show ends literally the moment Ted meets the mother.

I don't think this has been rumored at all. They may already be under contract for next season.

 

Yeah, I don't know. I wouldn't complain if they didn't show the courtship at all, if it just ends with them introducing themselves and Saget saying "And, kids, that is how I met your mother."

Then again, it'd surprise me a bit if they went for something written that tight. I say this as a huge fan of the show, but I'd be surprised if they passed on the opportunity to milk a season or two out of dating the mother.

 

The show has been signed on for next season, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see at least a little bit of the courtship. Plus, if it ended with Ted meeting the mother (if it was at the end of S7), we'd be deprived of the obligatory Marshall and Lily adjust to parenthood episodes.

 

Right, we'll definitely get to meet the mother. I only asked because I'm dreading it. What if she's not even half as cool as Victoria or as hot as Rachel Bilson or as good an actress as Sarah Chalke (Stella)? What if the mother isn't that great at all?

And the Marshall/Lily parenting episodes have the potential to be so generic-sitcom-y. Then again, this show rarely disappoints me with its turns.

 

While Bilson is hot, whomever plays Victoria is way over her. There is just something that stirs the desire in me...

 

Can't imagine why.
