D'ya mean PCU? Not being a smart ass. Just wondering.

Jack Black has a lot of unusual bit roles: Waterworld, Demolition Man, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, ect.

Ben Stiller is one of the POWs/American soldiers in "Empire of the Sun." It's very far from a comedic role and was pretty jarring to me.

Not quite that depressing, but Jimmy Fallon had a non-comedic cameo in an episode of "Band of Brothers." He's the jeep driver who drops off a ton of ammo to Easy Company on their way to Bastogne.

"Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba was half of identical twin duo who took on Austin Powers in "Goldmember"

Watched "Christmas Vacation" tonight and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (sp?) was in there. I always noticed it, but yeah.

I could have sworn I saw Swoosie Kurtz in "The Blind Side" tonight, but her name wasn't in the credits. Further investigation is required......

She also did a stint on the PBS version of "Where in the world was Carmen San Diego" as the chief in the mid-1990s.

Also, a late 1970s horror movie called The Sentinel has pre-fame Tom Berenger, Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum and Beverly D'Angelo with minor roles to people such as Ava Gardner, Chris Sarandon, John Carradine and Eli Wallach. Richard Dreyfuss also has a split-second cameo. I remember watching this in the 1980s with some friends and we kept trying to guess who would pop up next.

Also, Tom Hanks has a wierd slice of dialogue in a slasher film called "He Knows You're Alone" or something to that affect.

  8. Fallons had a lot of non-comedic roles... He just didn't know it.

  9. Eli Wallach is one of those reverse Holy Shit guys for me.
I saw him in L&O and a few other things before I realized he was a cowboy bad guy in The Good The Bad and The Ugly among others.

I would argue that every role he has done has been non-comedic.

Apologies if this has been mentioned previously, but this past weekend I watched a sizable chunk of Donnie Brasco. I hadn't seen it since it was first released on home video. Paul Giamati is one of the feds monitoring the wire that Brasco is wearing.

And before that, she was one of the original Fly Girls on "In Living Color."
