Holy crap! That was...

The dead giveaway for Brits playing Americans is the word "anything." They almost never pronounce the "g." Tim Roth did the same thing in Reservoir Dogs, as did Mischa Barton on The OC.

The same with the male lead on The Glades, his Aussieness peeks out when he's yelling. Noticed the same with Anthony Lapaglia - hearing that guy speak Aussie is just plain creepy after thinking he's a New Yorker for most of his career.

Watching "Covert Affairs" for the first time on USA and if I drank every time I said "Holy crap! That was..." I'd be comatose. And the show is only half over. Thus far:

Piper Perabo (hottie Violet from Coyote Ugly)
Gregory Itzin (evil Charles Logan from 24)
Peter Gallagher (the dad from The O.C.)
Eriq LaSalle (tortured doc from ER)
Keri Matchett (was on 24 in 2007, but I thought she was the GF of Jack whose sister turned out to be a terrorist)

Since the CW has been beating us over our heads with ads for their cheerleading show, "Hellcats," yeah... I was forced to notice the blond outsider (and, apparently star of the show) who gives in an becomes one. It's been bugging me that she looks familiar. Sure enough, imdb solves the riddle: She was on the old Disney show "Phil of the Future." The local NBC station used to show it here on Saturday mornings, and she was the featured jailbait — the very cute girl young enough to make you feel like a skeeve.

That really looked like Liz Shue in the Pirhana 3D trailer...

There are few things hotter than a girl who knows how to play a guitar. :)

I saw the late Fred Travalena, comedian-impressionist extraordinaire, on a Southwest Airlines flight from Long Beach to Philly several years ago.
My first thought was: Hey, he's crammed onto this horrid flight with the rest of us broke-*ss losers.
My next thought was: He doesn't look too good.
My next thought was: As soon as I get back East I'm going to DeStefano's for a hoagie.

I can think of two things I'd like to see in 3D.
