I'm sure the state issue is what I'll need an expert for. Now an Ohio (no tax) resident, I was a Kentucky (tax) resident when she passed and the estate process began. And, of course, no idea how her residency affects things...

So, I'll have to consult one of those ball-washin' bastards.

Know any convicted murderers who offer tax and estate planning guidance? It's a nice pet to have.

Thanks, wicked. Counting the dog, who came back from a potty break with a dangler, it's official. Today, I have wiped more butts than I have myself.

Gettin' that five-thousand yard stare, man.

UPDATE: In the Lord giveth and he taketh away department... have been deathly ill since Sunday, to the point where I can't walk without assistance (a walker). Went to the ER today, was diagnosed with cellulitis and sepsis. Wasn't admitted, but my sister is now home all week caring for both me and mom. Temp is still 100.1, and my right leg is still SWOLLEN and tender as hell. Bottom line: This suuuuuucks.

Damn, sorry to hear your plight but good to hear you got the cellulitis diagnosed!! My boy, when he was 5, was complaining about a sprained ankle and I could understand what the deal was, I had been with him all day. Wife took him into ER and damn that's what he had, luckily we caught it in time, in one week could have been fatal they said if it got into his bone marrow!! He had to have antiobiotics for a week and stayed in the hospital for a week with the IV in his arm.

You're lucky you're at home (maybe because you're older). Cellulitis is nothing to mess around with. We never found out where it came from either.

Worst part is leg's so swollen, I'm constantly having earth-shaking leg cramps. Well, okay... worst part is not being able to walk, which leads to other daily charms like ALMOST making it to the bathroom. Scrips the doc wrote are all for one week, so I hope that means it should be cleared up by this time next week...

Thanks, guys. Just sucks for my sis, who's had to take off work to take care of a loopy Alzheimer's patient and an uber-cranky, one-legged miscreant who wets the floor more than a cocker spaniel puppy.
