I'm guessing Colorado or some other place of pitcher exile. Hellickson's star has really fallen.
The Rays are going to want a minor prospect. Even if he sucks now he was a ROY.

I don't think Colorado is a match - they should know that they need strikeout pitchers. Maybe a good buy low option for someone like the Mets, even though they certainly don't need more SPs.

Phillies could use about four starters right now, so they might be interested.

Probably a good story to be told about teams who load up only to underachieve.

Cris Carpenter outpitched Halladay in Game Five of the 2011 NLDS 1-0, the game in which Howard destroyed his leg making the last out. And that was that But for the 2011 regular season, those guys WERE dominant.

They were. But everything crashed down in '12, back to 81-81.

I was coming from the angle that it would have been cool to see a staff like that stay together, and dominate, for more than 1 year.

I remember that SI story for all the stupid-ass super hero nicknames Gary Smith gave all those guys ("Loose Laser," "Kid Quantum," etc.) than I will for it being wrong.

At the request of the Tampa Bay Rays, MLB has launched an investigation into whether or not the Chicago Cubs tampered with Joe Maddon. The Rays contend that Cubs made Maddon aware he'd have a spot prior to him opting out on October 23rd.

Mets signed Michael Cuddyer to 2-year deal:

I disagree & think it's a really good signing. Contrary to what the media in NY said about Chris Young, there's no such thing as a terrible 1 year deal, and that's almost as true for a 2 year contract. I'm surprised he couldn't get more elsewhere. He's a guy who doesn't need to hit a lot of HRs to be useful, so Citifield shouldn't kill him. Does anyone still think he can play 2b?

They lose their first-round pick (No. 15 overall).

    Cuddyer is terrible defensively.

He also had a .418 SLG outside of Coors Field last year.

Other than that, I think it's great.

Didn't catch that. Surprised Alderson gave up his pick.
