Has anybody owned up to being wrong on that one now that he is returning to the Yanks?

Occasionally, the teams at a disadvantage are going to spend money. That doesn't mean the disadvantage isn't there.

Please. I've been in this argument forever. I don't pick and choose my spots based on when I think my argument will hold water, because I KNOW it holds water. As I've noted many times, you can come up with any half-assed theory you want about why the NFL's way is better, and I'll shatter it with plenty of evidence.

But everyone gripes when a baseball thread is hijacked by economic discussions. So I let others do it this time. You can go on thinking I stayed out of this because events didn't lend themselves to my argument. I'm sure you will, because it'll make you feel all big and strong.
