That's right. I never back up my points. I never debate with anyone and come up with evidence to support my theories. I guess you missed my debates with Simon, or the newbie BBJones. I guess because you disagree with me it means I never back up my points.

That's right. God. Do you even think about what you write? do you realize how inept you look?

I haven't mentioned you in I don't know how long (I'm sure you do though), because you're a waste of time and I've tried to know better than to pay attention to a nobody. Yet I make one dig in general at the baseball's financial situation sucks brigade and you start toting the flag as if you've been personally offended. None of this would have happened if YOU didn't feel the need to be the big guy. Because you can't handle being iggied. You have to be in the middle of something and then pass it off as just trying to settle the record or some crap.

You're pathetic. Poor widdle passive aggressive nobody would care if you fell off the face of the message board outofplace. Spend the next half hour mustering up a reply, big guy.

    :)

Wow, is there anything left in your spleen after that one?

How dare I actually call bullshit on your ridiculous comment, right? You are still rolling on personal stuff rather than addressing the substance or anything remotely on topic. Poor little BYH. Having to deal with little nobody me. Sounds like you've got just a little too much of your self esteem wrapped up in this place.

If the Twins sign Santana, that is not a sign that all is right with the financial system in baseball no matter how much you wish it were so. I'm not sitting here expecting you to start calling for a salary cap the minute they trade him or if he leaves as a free agent after this coming season.

The Rodriguez example I mentioned applies. I heard the comments that it was proof that there is some competitive balance in baseball that the Yankees were actually losing the best player in the game over money. But it didn't happen. The Yankee payroll won out again.

And just as the Yankees are working on the most lucrative contract in MLB history with Rodriguez, they are also a prospect away from handing another megadeal to Johan Santana.

The arguments cut both ways if you are willing to be reasonable and keep your head in reality.

Fair enough, wicked. Anybody who would like to continue the spleen-venting, it's more topical on the thread linked here.

So please, let's drop it or take it there?

Seriously guys. Bring it back to Hot Stove stuff or take it elsewhere.

Stark says the Dodgers might try to get Bedard for Kemp, Kershaw and maybe two other players. Does Kemp have the potential everyone thinks? I've read some stuff comparing him to Dave Winfield. That's pretty lofty company. I'm sure Angelos probably thinks he deserves 11 all-stars and a truck full of baklava for Bedard, but I don't see them getting a better offer than Kemp, Kershaw, Broxton and whomever.

What's the story with this Kosuke Fukudome? I see some people are calling him the Japanese J.D. Drew and that he has a better arm than Ichiro. If that's the case, I'm surprised more teams aren't interested, although the Drew comparison is a little scary. Seems like being a star in Japan transfers fairly well to the majors, and is a pretty easy way to upgrade your ballclub. Even Kaz Matsui managed to pull it together in Colorado after his disastrous stint with the Mets. If you were the Giants, why not go after Fukudome instead of giving away pitching for old-ass Hideki Matsui, who is about two years from being totally immobile in the outfield?
