What's up with Jose Guillen? I don't want to wade through 20 pages, but I just got an MLB e-mail talking about "not negotiating discipline" and an investigation.

ESPN had something about an HGH investigation.

Steve Phillips just said that Dontrelle Willis and Johan Santana are pretty close in talent level. Yeah, just about the same consistency from both of them. Can I get in his fantasy-baseball league?

I'm sure KC, who apparently is ready to give that waste of space (Jose Guillen) $36 mil for three years (that's Guerrero money, people, from the dregs of the AL) are thrilled.

    Can't imagine why he isn't someone's GM.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I wouldn't let Steve Phillips manage my fantasy team. And I'd love to play roto against him for money.

Steve is planning a fake press conference in 20 minutes to respond to your comments, Zeke.

Pirates also pretty give the touch of death to any player they draft.

Of the last 10 #1 picks, how many have sniffed the majors?

The Pirates don't even funding the scouting department for shit.

MLB.com is reporting Andrew Jones to the Dodgers for $36 million over two years.

I'm surprised Jones would sign a two-year deal.

    Meh. $18 million too much.

I'm not surprised he took a two-year deal--gives him a chance to rebuild his market value and make it back on to the market at 32--but I am surprised he signed with the Dodgers. I thought Ned Colletti had a sign on his office reading "No Scott Boras Clients Allowed."
