It will be interesting to see if Leach, Leavitt and/or Mangino land anywhere or if they are untouchable.

If we're going to make this the coaching carousel thread, then what are the odds Al Golden is the head coach at Penn State next season?

I don't have a long Ole Miss background; I started there in 2004. FWIW, I don't ever remember seeing a Confederate flag. Yes, playing the Dixie song always bothered me, especially with the Meredith statue just 300 yards away. But Ole Miss is certainly not what it used to be. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't been around in a long time.

That's the name I seem to see mentioned the most for that job. It would make sense.

I think Mangino and Leavitt will be blackballed by any BCS conference school. I don't know about Leach. I'd be stunned if he didn't get a job this winter, but I was stunned last year when he didn't get one.

Apparently they've de-institutionalized the flag. My bad.

Posted this on another thread but my thoughts are that the Miami job, probation and all, is looking pretty good to ol' Al right about now.

Meyer and Schiano are one, and a long two.

Oh, and Sexton has already placed a call into Tom Ridge on Nutt's behalf, as well. ;D

I don't know that Schiano is all that hot a commodity anymore. I figure Golden would be ahead of him.

Urb's working the State Penn game v. the Nubs this weekend. He'll get a good look at his possible future.

Since I'm no longer covering Alabama, I'm looking forward with glee to the first time somebody asks Nick Saban about his interest in the Penn State job during a press conference.
