You dance with the girl who brought you to the dance.

There is a lot of wisdom in that expression.

I just hope it was not an audible.

Horrific play not to call a TO by Hoodie, awful play call with the best short yardage RB and terrible decision by Wilson.

Pretty sure it wasn't. They had a shot of Carroll watching the play on the sidelines, ready to throw his arms up for a touchdown. Instead ... sheeeet.

Here's the thing: When you get a gift -- a GIFT -- like Kearse's catch to set up a game-winning touchdown, it's no time to get fancy or think too hard. Just hand the ball to Lynch until he scores, with maybe a bootleg by Wilson as a second- or third-down option. In that situation, you win or lose with Beast Mode. And the victory was right there.

Hell of a story it would have been.
Hell of a story anyway, but too much of a head-scratcher.

Not quite as dramatic though close, instead of giving the ball to Frank Gore the 49ers threw that blasted fade.

  7. This is why the Super Bowl should be a best-of-three.

It's really too bad. If Carroll/Bevell hadn't screwed up that last play call, Hoodie is probably still getting grilled about not using his TOs and letting Seattle run the clock down.

That, and watching Brady mope off the field a loser again, would've been fun.

That's the biggest choke job since Eric Garner.

    Oh, that's cold.

You wonder if this is a game-changer for Russell Wilson. Kaepernick hasn't been the same QB since the Super Bowl loss. Wonder if Wilson regresses a little bit because of this.

And who the hell called that pass, anyway?

Thing is, Brady brought the Patriots back in the last couple of minutes, just as he did against the Giants, so he got the job done on offense. This time another bizarre catch didn't beat him, even though it should have. But who didn't think his comeback against the Giants was a game-winner at the time? Great drives, both times.
