    From Twitter:

Hey, Seattle, do you want to win the Super Bowl?

    No, thanks. We'll pass.

It's a good play and looks cool if it works, but the stakes were too high to risk it.
Carroll/Bevell rolled the dice and got burned. Wasn't worth the gamble when you've got Lynch.

I enjoyed seeing him in the air cast and then moments later Tafoya saying his return was probable, with a wrist injury.

Can someone explain to me why Americans are expected to work today? This is such bullshit.

Because we're not like those 35-hour a week, 6 weeks of vacation a year European-style socilists. Bootstraps!

Lost in the hoopla over Butler's pick is the heads-up play on the Kearse catch. Nine times out of 10, Kearse runs into the end zone as the defender stands there confused. But Butler made a smart, game-saving play before making another smart, game-saving play.

Taking off Super Bowl Monday is a great luxury, but let's be real, if a big enough movement sprung up to make the day after Super Bowl Sunday a holiday, the NFL would just move the game to Monday.

They want people to watch the game at home. Every person who watches the game at a bar or a party hurts their ratings. And, there's no way they are playing the game in the middle of a three day weekend, when folks might plan other things.

If they wanted us to enjoy the day, they'd play the game on Saturday night, or earlier on Sunday.

It is just a matter of time before the NFL moves the kickoff to 8:30, which the networks have wanted for decades. The only reason they haven't is that the 6:30 kickoff allows flash game stories to make East Coast first editions. If it didn't, there'd be less reporters cranking out pregame hype the week before. Given print's ever-declining influence, that rationale isn't much good anymore.

PS: M. Sunshine, that's a great point on Butler's play on Kearse.

Launching a show in the post Super Bowl time slot used to also be a big deal. Moving the game to a later time slot would end that.

But, I have no idea what aired after last night's game.

Regarding the TOs, can someone explain why the clock wasn't stopped after the miraculous catch? He was live till he rolled out of bounds.
