How do I get cheap/free software?

    Find students in college. Microsoft will let them buy software for next to nothing (last year, I had a former co-worker buy me MS Office 2003 Pro for 10 bucks); Adobe also has deals with some places, but **wink** they have to be installed on university computers for university staff.

    That's not true here. We have education deals with Adobe for students, not just staff.

    Still a college student ... I just bought New Office Pro 2007 for $30.

    The university I'm at sells the complete Adobe Suite CS2 for $320.
