How he finally met the mother (Season 9)

Another episode with Marshall being MIA from Farhampton. And now we're on break until January.

 

The always reliable Wikipedia says that we have one more episode this year, and Marshall will be rejoining the group on the 16th.

 

Hmm, since they didn't do a tease at the end of the episode I figured we were done for the year. My bad.

 

I'm saying I was mad (ok, not mad...TV doesn't make me mad, that would be stupid...bored would be a better word) at the build up because I thought it was filler. It was not and I liked the payoff.

 

I just got caught up with this and last week's episodes.
First, let me briefly discuss the rhyming episode. It f**king blew. Hard.
Easily the worst episode in this entire series.
And that's all I have to say about that. Frankly, this brief reaction was more than that shitshow was worth.
I enjoyed this week's episode much more but, honestly, I'm checked out. I'm watching because I've always watched. I know the 200th episode is suppose to be all about the mother so I'm really holding out hope they'll stick the landing here but I have a feeling I'm more likely going to place this season alongside the end of Lost and Seinfeld than I am than Breaking Bad if you know what I mean.

 

Did anyone else really dislike the Lily-can't-keep-a-secret story line?

Otherwise it was good, with a great finish. I loved the intentionally awful Canada jokes.

 

I thought that tonight's episode was solid. I liked it a lot. Nice way to head into the break.

 

This season is awesome. And The Mother really is better for Ted than Robin.

 

Loved tonight's episode. Set up the rest of the series nicely.
