How much did you pay for gas today?

On the local news tonight, they were showing how stations had prices around the $4 mark.

The reporter and camera man found a station that was selling gas for $3.69. They hung around outside after talking to the manager and telling him about the higher prices, and caught on tape the guy walking out with his remote device (it was an electronic display board) and jacking up the price of his gas 30 cents. "Everybody else is doing it," he said.

Why did gas prices go up this weekend? They jumped 20 cents from Friday until today.

Was there a refinery fire I missed or something? Or did a Magic 8-ball spit out "Raise prices now" when an oil exec shook it?

$4.08 at quite a few places in my town and the next town over. I paid $3.87 last week, but that station is now up to $3.93.

Good Lord. I don't have to drive through there on my trip do I?

Hmm. Gas remained steady here today.

I noticed crude was down today. If some shithead in Oman takes a potshot at an oil tanker with a BB gun, gas prices go up 15 cents in a day, but if the price of crude comes down, there's no change.

    FUCK THESE FUCKING ASSHOLES!

Same here. That's the highest I've seen; I stopped at the last place I saw that was still at $3.59. It was still $80 for about 22 gallons.

I don't know where the breaking point is, but we're getting close for a lot of people.

We're officially at $4.00 in the Midwest.

And I'm now doing what I never even imagined -- staying home unless absolutely fucking necessary.

This is the one reason I'm not looking forward to being out there for 4 months. Then again, it's bad everywhere, but I'll be driving a lot more out there.

Good God man! $3.75 to the ninth power? Just walk 30 miles to your next game.
