How much did you pay for gas today?

I predicted a month or so ago that gas in my city would be $3.79 by Memorial Day.

Today's price? $3.79.

 

$3.87 at Costco.

Still haven't paid $4 yet... Came close at $3.97 earlier this week, but haven't cracked $4 yet.

Yet.

 

$4.58 for regular in some places in Chicago. Cheapest I've seen regular for is $4.09. Good thing I don't need to drive to work.

 

I saw $3.65 on my drive today.

That's been one of the big mantras of the anti-drilling crowd -- that oil will be obsolete (or we need to make it obsolete) in the near future, therefore there's no sense drilling for new sources of oil. Obviously, we're going to be using the stuff for the next couple decades.

Oh, and $3.85 near work today, and $3.69 closer to home.

 

$3.85 a gallon here today.

 

$3.98. Saw 4.07 for regular not far from where I live. Damn.

 

4.05 today for regular at a station I will never buy gas. Same station yesterday was at $3.97.

$3.78 at the Costco in Bakersfield. Not sure what it was at the other stations in town.

I was doing too much white knuckle driving through LA to have the time to look to see what gas cost on I-10, CA-57, I-210 or I-5.

Plus, no one told me the Grapevine can be quite iffy when it is extremely windy and you are driving a 1997 Buick LeSabre that is so loaded with crap that you have about a foot of clearance from your bumper to the shit-hole freeways in this state.

Shasta is going to be fun tomorrow.

Oh, and I paid $4.05 in some town that started with a D that is about 35 miles north of Bakersfield on 99.
