    Somehow I knew I should have filled up last night, before going straight home from work. I was right.

    Gas went up a dime to $3.85 overnight.

    I saw diesel already at $4.79 at one place. And VW expects to sell a bunch of Jettas?

    Two record oil prices in two days ... and not even a mention on the front page of Wednesday's DMN — not even a tease.

    They mentioned it on today's front, only because of the American Airlines story (AA is headquartered in Fort Worth).

    I was telling somebody this morning, that this weekend would be a great time for somebody to take a potshot at a refinery or a supertanker while spreading a rumor of a Gulf hurricane forming.

    It went from $3.67 yesterday to $3.79 today.
    Guess the gas stations wanted to catch the Memorial Day stragglers.
