Not real fine, my $4.09. Good thing $30 gets me 3/4 of a tank.

I shed tears of joy Memorial Day evening when gas dropped to $3.77.

Friends of mine just returned from Vancouver and said gas was $5.25 a gallon ($1.35-1.38 a liter).

Here too. Paid $4.17 last night. Just glad I don't drive an SUV like the friend I was riding with yesterday who paid $70 to fill up (he wasn't quite empty yet either).

They showed a thing on CNN today about people bitching about gas prices over the last several years...

They showed a trucker saying that once gas got beyond $1.25 a gallon, he was really going to have to change how he does things... That was from 2001 or so...

If this is what it takes for us to get more alternatives on the market, then I'm all for it. We'll see if that ever happens.

Paid $3.99 this morning at the only place in town under $4 a gallon.

Anyone who says it's a supply-and-demand issue is full of beans. There is plenty of oil supply globally, even for China and India. And there is plenty of gas supply stateside, considering that demand has been dramatically dropping.

If Shakespeare were alive today and writing Henry VI, he would write, "The first thing we do, let's kill all the speculators."

So much for it going down after Memorial Day. It's gone up a few cents here. Cheapest at most places is $4.249, but some holdouts still are stuck on $4.199.
