CNG is $0.71 per gallon here.

I'm converting one of the cars with the wife's next bonus check.

Most people who talk about revolution and overthrowing the government are paid a visit by an armed response team and immediately sent to whatever afterlife exists. We're not as free as we'd like to believe. These days, it reads more like this ...

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are not created equal, that they are not endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, but endowed by their U.S. Government with certain privileges: among these are Life and paying taxes."

But good luck with that whole revolution thing.

The more I looked into it, the more I really think NGV/CNG is the way to go for commuters.

It's all local fuel. It's all clean burning -- better than hybrid's in most ways. And the cost/gallon equivelent is only $0.70 here. Convertion kits, unfortunately, cost several thousand dollars per car. And, for not at least, refilling stations are not exactly on every street corner, although you can buy another conversion kit to hook into your home's natural gas line and refuel in the privacy of your own garage.

Amazed me too... but everyone knows oil companies are quick to raise the price and slower than shit to lower it...

Isn't there like a two-three week delay between moves in oil prices and pump prices? Because for a little bit, the crude prices were hitting records while the pump prices weren't going up as quickly.

Yep, it finally happened: $4.04 at Costco this morning.

And I was "lucky." The attendant told the gun at the next pump over that had he gotten here 15 minutes later, he'd be paying $4.09.

And MMeat, there should be a lag, considering the gas you're filling up with today was in the tank when oil was around $120. But in reality, it doesn't work that way; they jack up prices whenever the spot market goes up.

Prices have held steady here (central Va.) for the last week and a half. Still $3.85 at most places.

The Exxon near me went up from 3.79 to 3.85.. amazing... was actually lower than the rest of the places for three whole days.

I saw $3.75 in my ville this afternoon. Here's hoping the tropics stay clear and those who have urges to disrupt things remain quiet.
