    Merci.
However, where I live reminds me far more of Texas than anything I've ever seen in Canada.
    Doesn't change the gas-raping though.

Am I the only one that wishes they would just give in and get rid of the fucking 9 at the end of the price?

    $4.27.

    And yes, they should.

To do that would require raising the gas tax (state or federal) 1/10 of a cent. But no politician wants to propose that, so we're stuck with it.

The person who decided to put the 9 there is a douche.

There is no logical reason for it anymore. None what so ever.

Oh, and do you think I give a shit about a 1/10 cent raise in the gas tax? The frakking prices here routinely go up twenty cents in a month.

Damn. I have a 110-mile round trip commute. Fortunately, I don't have to go every day, but still 4-5 times per week. My monthly breakdown so far this year:
January: $198.87 (took a vacation week in there, too, when the car was completely parked)
    February: $231.21
    March: $249.87
    April: $225.01
    May: $272.07

Still about average compared to what I was spending last year, before I moved. I was splitting time between where I work and where my wife lived and spending around $200-$250 a month.
More disturbing was the jump in the average price of a tank of gas. Even in late April/early May it was $30-$35. Over the last six weeks, it's become $42-$46. That extra $10 or so is what chaps my ass. That's going to hurt come football season, when we start driving to games again.
