Better yet, someone heard me announce that my bill was $44 at the window. She said "I could have filled up your vehicle three times."

Ugh. No politician is asking you to drive a Chevrolet Suburban, m'lady. If the prices bother you that much, park the thing and save your $117. Better yet, my mother has this stupid scooter ... why don't you take it off her hands before she does something excessively stupid and I end up taking care of both parents?

Yep. Took 27 days to go from $3.89 to $4.63 (peak.)

It's been 56 days since -- and it's still only back to $3.97. It's taken more than half as long to go up as it did to come back down.

 

Nice. Gotta love that.
