    It's gone up around ten cents on average in my nape of the neck. I bought for #3.38 yesterday, and it's around $3.50 today. I'm thinking it's more for the Labor Day bump, since oil has only gone up a buck and a half today.

    Last night, I drove past a station at $3.31. I was beat, so I decided to get gas this morning.

    Big mistake.

    Thanks to Gustav, I paid $3.49.

    In March, when oil was at $100, gas prices were around $3.16 here. Today, with oil near $100, gas prices are still up around $3.50.

    Why isn't the price of gas falling?

    I filled up for $3.39 at 2 p.m. yesterday. When I went back by the same gas station two hours later, it was $3.49. And 10 miles up the road, it was $3.67 (a rise of about 20 cents in one day).
    Amazing how even the threat of a hurricane can give gas prices such a jump - but if it doesn't hit any oil or natural gas platforms, it will creep back down two cents at a time.
    Funny how that works.... ::)
