Saw it at $3.49 the other day, but on my usual route to work, I typically see $3.59.

    Paid 3.58 earlier this morning.

Went to Bowling Green with a coworker to take some stuff to his brother at Western Ky, and prices had jumped to 3.99.

Passed a Swifty that had lines at every pump because it was 28 cents lower than every other station.

Then i drove to Louisville for a football game and saw anywhere from 3.89 to 4.20.

Prices here are back down to 3.85.

Had been down to 3.79 by my house but has been going up with Hurricane Ike in the news. It was 3.85 when I left to play in a poker tournament tonight.

As I was getting home I was on E. There are two stations by my house. One had gone from 3.85 to 4.09 in the time between me leaving (around 6) and getting home (around midnight). So I went on to the next one. Their sign said 3.99. OK, that sucks, but I'm still saving a dime a gallon from the first place.

Except, get this -- they were closed, with 24-hour pumps. They had changed the sign, but not the pumps. So I filled up for 3.85.

The local supermarket station got sucked dry before they could raise prices from $3.49. Texans know the drill.

As for myself, I was grateful for every drop of $3.65 I could squeeze out up the road. It'll go higher than that before it drops.

Our governor declared a state of emergency over gas prices yesterday.
