How much did you pay for gas today?

The range for regular here is 2.71-2.94. Those two stations are across the street from each other. There was no waiting at one of them.

I think the gas is going up in my neck of the woods...

 

Yesterday, gas here went from $2.06 to $2.29 in a few hours.

I saw that prices in another area of town had gone up, but I didn't fill up when the station near my house was still at $2.06. When I drove past later, it was up 23 cents.

Not sure the reason for the sudden increase. I know $2.29 is still cheaper than a lot of places around the country, but I don't think I've seen gas go up that quickly before.

$2.03 at the Worldwide Leader yesterday.

 

Went to Maine for the weekend where it was still near 2.60. Back home in Mass. it's in the mid 2.20s. Only an hour's difference and almost a 50-cent difference. Crazy, I say.

But I heard most places will be around $2 or less by New Year's. Retailers are licking their chops!!

 

Saw a Wal-mart advertising $2.18 on Monday.

Paid $2.19 outside Fredericksburg, Va. the other day ... saw it for $2.16 in town.

30 miles up the road in Lorton on US 1, it was $2.69.

It's $2.25 across the street from my office.

 

There's places in the southern part of our metro area as low as 2.04. High spot is this one station at 2.94. Second-highest station ... two of them at 2.49. Next highest after that is 2.39. I want to go to that 2.94 place and interview the people who get gas there. And by "interview" I mean "call retards".

 

2.09 a gallon deep-in-the-hearta Bush America.
Hate Bush, love the gas prices.
And the Gulf looks pretty clear for now.... (crosses fingers).
