How much did you pay for gas today?

I paid $2.99 today and damn near slammed on my brakes when I saw it.

 

Should have waited another day. Paid $3.29 on Thursday night, but it dropped 10 cents overnight.

 

All the people who freak out and wait in lines and all that for like 3-4 cents difference a gallon...sounds great to get it for $3.29 instead of $3.34...but you saved like 50 cents. So not worth the freakout and the wait.

I saw 3.19 today, but thankfully I only fill up about every 2 1/2 weeks.

Exactly. You save 50 cents, but you are also burning gas while you're waiting in line. Your time is also worth something. So really, you're probably losing money.

Around here, its at $2.88.

I've also noticed something. The lower gas falls, the closer the gap is between the cash and credit prices.

 

$3.29, but only because I didn't see that the $3.19 was the cash price and I, stupidly, used my credit card.

OH, and saw gas for $2-freakin-97 in BFE the other day ... and didn't take a picture. Was scolded and, yeah, I should have made the driver turn around just for the sticker shock.

 

$2.98 last night.

 

Most here are down to 3.19-3.29, tho I did see a couple places that were 3.06... and there wasn't a soul in the lot of the Exxon station at 3.59... which is good...

 

$2.91. Good. Not good enough.

I have never in my life seen a place that charged different prices for cash and credit. Where does this happen?
