Summer? Ha. Try end of February. Wouldn't be surprised if we're back at $4 by mid-July.

edit: Oh yeah, $1.84 the other day. It never went below $1.75 in my neck of the woods. Sometimes I really hate living in a rich resort town.

    $1.87 here in oil country.

Never got below $1.65 here, though in towns relatively close it dropped into the $1.20s.

Paid 1.52 on Sunday. Rose to 1.69 on the way to work and it was up 20 cents by the time i drove home.

On the way, passed a handful of stations at 1.89. Two are Marathons, not even a mile apart -- the last one on this road was 1.68.

Never saw two stations owned by the same people with that big a difference in price.

Does anyone have any idea why Shell is always like 15 cents more than any other gas station?

Hovering in the $1.75-1.89 range around me. It got down to $1.30 around the first week of December thanks to a local gas war — hard to believe now.

We'll be back above $2 by early March — that's when it always goes up when the refineries go offline for summer blend.

Allegedly it's because Shell gas is supposed to be better for your car, better formulated and whatnot. I have not noticed a difference.

On my way to work today, passed three stations in a two-mile stretch. All three are Marathons and two of them are apparently owned by the same people.

Two were charging $1.89 and the other was charging $1.68. Don't know what's up with those prices ...
