I just filled up for $2.55 in Sacramento. Lowest price in many moons.

$2.19 in the great state of West Texas, which makes me angry because all I see each day is oil pumping out of the ground and the refineries burning shit off at night, yet I still have to pay more than $2 per gallon.

 

$2.29 in a cheese-loving state

 

Filled uo for $2.28 last night. Dropped eight cents since last time.

 

Saw one as low as $2.15 yesterday in No. NJ

 

We inched up to 1.99 a few days ago. Had been as low as 1.93.

 

1.93 today in Middle Georgia

 

Saw it for $1.97 in a rural area last week. Gotta love an election year.

With that in mind, I have considered keeping up with gas prices everyday, at the same station, from now until the end of November. I'm curious how close to Election Day the lowest price will be offered.

If I'm right, that oughta shut up my friend who says gas prices and the political calendar are mutually exclusive.

 

I paid $1.94 in Augusta late last week.

 

It is $2.39 in town still, though in one of the outlying areas it was $2.25 if you paid in cash and $2.29 if not.
