How much did you pay for gas today?

Prices have gone up about $1.20 in since April. There is absolutely no reason for that to have happened. I can't believe there hasn't been more bitching about this.

I'm about to drive from CO to NY and was hoping gas would be cheaper to justify driving versus flying. Mapquest's fuel cost calculator has me paying around $145-ish for a 1,550 mile trip*

*My car** says it gets 27 mpg on the highway and it has a 17-gallon tank.

Here in central jersey I paid $2.559 at the BP station a town away, when I should have gone to the cheap independent station here in town where it was $2.439. The Lukoil just up the street gives new meaning to highway robbery - $2.719

It's been holding there for about a week.

 

Holding at $2.46-2.49 here for the last week and a half.

 

Sitting around $2.53 and $2.65 around New Hampshire.

 

Holding steady around $2.35-2.45 on the I-10 corridor from Mobile-New Orleans.

 

Paid $2.69 yesterday. Had I waited for when I visited a friend farther up north, I found some stations as cheap as $2.49.

 

$2.28 to $2.30 here in South Carolina.

 

$2.45 in North Jersey
