How much did you pay for gas today?

    Good luck with that plan. Government tacks on 50 cents a gallon, deficit reduction is the absolute last place it would end up.

    2.69 a gallon Tuesday in Sevierville, Tenn.

    $3.21. Pretty standard in these parts for the past few weeks, not changing anytime soon.

    We went over $3 for the first time since 2008.

    Was 2.73 when i got there. When i left it was $2.83 and that's the ghetto gas station price.

    I hate when this thread pops up, because it never seems to be that prices are going lower. It's averaging $2.85 in my neck of the woods, right now. Since, I'm guessing things will tick up to the $3 level for the Christmas weekend, I plan on filling up tonight, which should make it to where I don't have to fill up until next Tuesday or later.

    It's gone up a quarter a gallon here in the last 10 days or so.

    About 3 weeks ago, it shot from $3.09 to $3.29 in six or seven days. Has stayed at $3.29 since then.
