Tomorrow we're expected to hit $1.23 per litre or about $5.00 a gallon

Edit: Paid $1.21 a litre tonight

I filled up for .99 per litre at Costco today. But most places here are 1.07.

Glad you can afford $4. My family and I can't. There's nothing good for the country that can come of $4 gas.

There is no scenario in which more expensive energy is better for anyone except those selling it.

It'll go down again (slightly) shortly before it starts going up again in the summer months.

Crude is down two days in a row in NYC. The Saudis are going to cover the Libyan supply and Libyan crude mostly goes to Europe anyway.

Consumption in the US has dropped to 2005 or 2006 levels, and is dropping, thanks in part to the recession, better fuel economy, and more people just not driving. There is more than enough gas to go around, and Libya contributes a very small percentage of crude to the world's suppply.

This, once again, is nothing but price-gouging from speculators. Surprise, surprise.

Big oil gets richer by the billions and billions every day, and receives every tax break and corporate welfare vehicle available, while some school teacher or public employee making $40 K a year is crucified.

It was $3.39 today in Microville.
