Will people stop buying it? Will someone open a gas station and charge a lower price?

If not, then it makes sense.

That was actually 2009, but yeah, I remember that.

$3.45... and that was at Costco.

    It's $3.80+ everywhere else.

    I'm fucked.

Pick up Matt Taibbi's Griftopia. Go to the chapter on commodities trading. Control the urge to murder someone.

I paid$ 3.15 per gallon at a Shell station on Thursday. The next day, it was up to$ 3.35 per at the same station.

    Bugger all.

Can someone who is from/lives in/has lived in Phoenix please explain to me how there is such a disparity in prices here all the time? During the two weeks I've been here, I've seen prices as varied as a 30 cents just driving a few miles. There are stations at the same intersections that are a quarter apart from each other. I've never seen anything like this and I really don't understand it.

Just paid $3.97. NEVER have I paid this much for gas and I'm on my way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to talk to someone about it.

Why are no news networks talking about this? Oh yeah, because the gov't is working behind closed doors.

If it hits $5, I expect full out chaos -- like Jumanji coming to life

This country is on the verge of a revolt. And it won't be pretty. We're long overdue for one.

Gas jumped to $3.49-$3.59 here. I had to fill up both Monday and Tuesday because of long trips for work, but I haven't filled up since Tuesday.

$3.87 at the Shell on the corner.
I bought at Costco on Monday ($.3.67, but it's probably $3.75 today), got to the pump and the previous vehicle, a pickup truck, rang up a $100 total. Mine was $70.
