Ranges here from $3.57 to $3.69 for regular unleaded. Premium is at $4.

Am I the only one not bothered by these prices anymore? I guess I've just accepted the fact that I'm going to get Roethlisbergered every time I go to the pump.

Paid $3.87 today and it felt like a steal.

    That's just sad.

With the help of a 10-cent discount with my Kroger plus card, it was $3.46 today in Corinth, Miss.

The thing that would be interesting to know is how much a gallon of gas cost when the per barrel price was at this level in 2008. Seems to me we're paying more in relation to cost per barrel than we were back then.

Filled up for 3.63 yesterday -- worked out to a 60 dollar tank on the Impala... I didn't enjoy it...

$3.73 this weekend. Haven't seen $4 in the area yet, although a couple of towns I drove through in western Illinois this weekend were at $3.95.

Paid $3.93 cash for 87 octane Saturday. It cost $39 for 3/4 of a tank of gas in my 2010 Focus, for crying out loud.

I think the difference this time is that refined gasoline -- a commodity unto itself -- is being speculated on in addition to crude oil. In 2008 crude was the object of the high rollers, and gas prices simply followed suit. This time around there's a lot more money going into the market, no thanks to TARP.

In other words, they just found another way to screw us with a rusty spike.

Paid $3.28 after a .70 cent grocery discount. Gas ranges in my area for regular run from $3.92 to $4.09. There is an Exxon in the area with premium selling for $4.59.

Ding, ding, ding! Finally rang the $4 bell last week, at $4.06. $4.09 this morning. Holding out on my supermarket discount until I get to $1 per gallon off, at least. Then, fill 'er up, baby.
