How much did you pay for gas today?

So, now the price of oil is cratering. Must have been a dramatic change in US money policy, since demand is still low and supplies and inventory are still high, just as was the case several months ago when the price skyrocketed.

And of course the price won't go down $.20 overnight, like it rose, because declines have to filter their way through the system.

I also can't wait to hear the tea baggers praise the POTUS when a gallon goes down to $3.20, just as they ripped him when it rose to $4.

In my neck of the woods, it has dropped 10-15 cents in the past week.
Stations on one side of town seem to be having a price war. One dropped to $3.39, a day or so before prices everywhere dropped, and the others nearby have followed suit. On the other end of the main drag, a mile or so away, it's still around $3.51.
All across town, it was in the $3.63 range early last week.

    Just paid 1.33.9 . . . . a litre. Cost $70 to fill my Jeep. I died a little inside.

$3.349 with a 10-cent Kroger discount here in North Mississippi. On Friday the cheapest stand-alone price was $3.409.

Regular was $4.03.9 at Costco. The Shell station at the corner has refused to budge from $4.25.9 over the past couple of weeks.

Gas just went UP 18 cents in the last two days. Paid $3.95 on May 3. Same station, $4.13 at lunch today. I might not be able to keep driving if the price of oil keeps going down.

Freaking Shell station at the corner, during the last drop, went s-l-o-w-l-y from $4.35 to finally $4.25. The prices kept dropping, but it remained ... even as Costco went down to $4.03 (Costco is usually 7 to 12 cents cheaper, but this time it was 22 cents cheaper).
Three days ago, the Shell finally went down another 2 cents to $4.23 and the next day, boom, back up to $4.33. Bastards.

    Saw $3.26 this morning.

With the summer forecast calling for a dramatic drop in gas prices, I suspect below three bucks by the end of the month.

And, double boom, up to $4.43 the next day.

With the drop of the price of oil the last week and a half, gas should be down a lot lower than what it is.
