Was up to a high of $3.69 almost everywhere, but it's dropped 10 cents in most places this week. As low at $3.55 in some spots.

Back down to 3.52 here on post. In the 3.55-3.56 neighborhood off post, I think.

They would have gotten away with it if they didn't change the rules on them.

As a side note, I worked on the COMEX years after the Hunts tried to corner the market, but a lot of the traders remained, and the stories were legendary.

They weren't shy. Their broker -- at Continental Commodities (Conti) if I'm not mistaken -- didn't stand in the pit all day. He would come onto the trading floor to execute their purchases.

The silver pit is[/i] was all the way in the back, and just to the right of the main aisle at 4WTC. (COMEX had the back right quadrant.)

Traders would station lookouts near the entrance to the trading floor. Just the site of their broker could cause the marker to go limit up instantly.

In one month, gas went from $3.55 to $3.85 in southern Idaho. Not sure why.

Hurricanes disrupted the supply chain! Oh, they didn't.

The unrest in the Middle East affected production! Oh, it didn't.

The price will go down when we switch from summer blend! Oh, it hasn't.

There's not enough inventory! Oh, there is.

Obama hates drilling! Oh, domestic production is at an all-time high and we're exporting oil.

Demand is up! No, it's not.

The oil companies are making a killing, as usual. Bingo!

A station I pass daily in SoCal, which is usually 15 cents higher than the neighborhood average, was up to $4.73 this morning.

The station across the street was $4.29 Monday and $4.49 this morning.

Concur. The Shell station at the corner was at $4.23 for about 2 months, then went down to $4.19 for about 2 days last week. Then, in quick succession, to $4.25 on Tuesday and $4.45 on Wednesday. I'm afraid to go by there today. And ... another freaking pump jump just in time for my drive to Phoenix tomorrow.
