Paid $1.94 in Texarkana, U.S.A last week. I'm not sure what state I was in, I just know it was the cheapest I saw while I was driving.

2.13 in Hadley, Mass. I go there once a week, each week it drops a bit. 2.22, 2.19, 2.13.

Outside of Hawaii, we must pay the most for gas, it's $2.46 on average.

I got it for $2.21 in West Texas recently, on a road trip I saw it for $1.89 in San Angelo, Texas.

Still around 2.49 where I am (at the in-laws on the PA/NY border).
My mother in-law says this area has some of the highest prices in PA.

However, I'd like to point out to those who said guaranteed $3 and above by Halloween....

    Rebuttal?

Prices usually drop after Labor Day when the summer mixes don't have to be sold. Also demand for petro has dropped since not as many people are flying. But even very smart people, smart people who made their fortunes in oil like T. Boone Pickens have said that the current prices aren't going to be maintained. Demand will go up as the temp drops as people need heating oil. The price will spike back up as more people start flying for the holidays and then the summer mixes will hit and it will get ugly -- again.
If airflights had maintained at the normal level, then I think the prices would be about a dollar higher in most parts of the country.

I thought, though, Jay, it's pretty much been stated that due to the expected milder winter in most of the country, there will be no heating oil shortage.

Paid $2.11 today. Been holding steady at that price for at least a week now.

Don't gas prices usually go up in the days following elections?

The prices dropped so as to not be a factor during election time. They shall rise soon. Then we'll hear how there is increased demand for <insert reason here>.

Having said that... $1.979 in Northern Jersey.

Anyone interested in the truth knows that gas prices started going back up three weeks ago. They haven't, however, gone up drastically. Was down to 2.14 near me and many places are now up to 2.33 for regular unleaded. (And since everything has now been unleaded for 20 years, can we just drop that from now on and just say "regular"?
