How much did you pay for gas today?

I find it very interesting that prices have dropped despite the uptick in usage. But, of course, there are those that say that prices are market driven.

$1.96 at the Wal-Hell, $1.99 elsewhere.

 

$1.95! Plus, I have a 12-cent discount per gallon waiting to be used!

 

Right around $2, over and under wherever you look, in East Texas, just north of Houston.

 

1.86-1.87 here in South Carolina.... and, like someone else said, that is a product of low, low gas taxes (which also lead to poor highway maintenance here).

 

$2.09. Assmunches raised it 11 cents in one day.

 

Was still 2.04 by my house as I drove past the station. Got to where I was going and it was 2.19 everywhere. As I got home I still had 3/8 of a tank but the place by my house was still 2.04 so I filled up.

My understanding is it's because Bush called for doubling the nation's strategic reserve last night.

Still $2.14 in my town ... but $1.96 two towns over. Went there last night to cover a game but, sadly, didn't have time to fill up the tank. (Damn deadlines.)

 

I think I've beaten everyone. I paid nothing. Why? Because I can ride the bus to work.

 

I've seen a 1.94 in my travels, and I'm hoping it'll be in the 1.90 to 1.92 range when I need to gas up. Like two cents a gallon really matters, but it's the thrill of the hunt. Also I have a 10-cent-per-gallon coupon for the two Krogers that sell gas here, which would drop me into the 1.80s. Except that they're not terribly convenient most days.

 

2.05 is the lowest I've seen around me, about an hour after I had paid 2.17 eight miles away.
