Yeah, but if you send it to 10 friends, then Bill Gates will give you 300 bucks...

Everyone pray Dim Son doesn't get jiggy with Iran and the Gulf stays hurricane-free this summer. We'll be looking at $3 gas as the good ole days.

$3.29, which is the highest since the first couple days after Katrina when it went up to $3.59 for about a week...

$3.49 today, but could have paid another 20 cents or more at a Chevron close to my place that's off the freeway. They've always been 20 cents ABOVE the ever-increasing prices we're paying in SoCal these days.

As long as there is public transportation, I'm not going to worry about the price of gas.

$3.15, up 10 cents since I filled up last week.

Why are we worried about gas prices? The mainstream media tells us that the recent hike still doesn't equal the inflation-adjusted cost of gas in 1982 which would be something like $3.36.

They'll go back 25 years but not have a comparison from 1997. Who has the stronger lobby/better PR agency?

Not only that, but fuel prices certainly influence the price paid for public transportation. Operating costs soar when buses have to pay a premium for fill-ups.
