I filled up Tuesday at $2.92 with the Sam's Club discount.
My city is large enough to have a web site that tracks gas prices.
Cheapest gas in town is still $2.92 down at the ghetto gas station.
Average gas price was $3.16, last week it was $2.89.

It's $3.30 in Oklahoma pretty much uniformly. It's still a little over $3.00 in Texas. Usually Oklahoma is the way cheaper one. Very unusual.

Good lord, I thought 3.03 was terrible. I feel bad for the rest of you guys.

True story. Dr. J and I drove by a gas station less than a mile from the place we wanted to go mini-golfing. It was 3.08. We get to the place find out it was closed and turn around to go home.

Up five cents on the ride home. In less than five freaking minutes!

    $2.939 on my last fill-up, now $2.959.

Here's some perspective: I came up here for a job interview three months ago to the day today, and gas prices have gone up 82 cents per gallon.

I filled my tank Thursday at 2.84, went out of town to cover a tournament. It's 2.99-3.09 around here and will be higher when I get home

Just wondering, has anyone had their mileage rate increased?
ESPN took theirs up a few cents in 2005 right after Katrina, but took it back to where it was the January after.

Mark, was their rate in sync with the feds' rate for reimbursement? IRS boosted it at the end of 2005 (presumably due to Katrina), from 40.5 cents to 48.5 cents, or something along those lines. Last year's rate was 44 cents, I think, not sure what it is this year.
