I tipped them because they did it quick and they made it easy on me. Hopefully karma shall bless me.

Each time we move, we must go through the transportation office on post and have a one-on-one counseling. During the last counseling, we were told, in very clear terms, NOT to tip the movers.

My best friend and his wife just moved to our installation, as well. His wife was there, but he was not. She said as soon as they got out of the truck, they started talking about a tip.

She reported them to the moving office, and that company is no longer used at Ft. Rucker.

Yeah, they were gentle actually. It was a good way to break me in. Thanks for asking.

I find tipping movers is difficult. They're pretty sturdy and wary. I stick with tipping cows.

  9. Bringing this back for a few. I'm having a furniture company deliver a sofa, love seat and chair to my new fifth floor apartment, about 50 miles from where I bought them. There is an elevator, but I'm not sure if they will use it (or if the sofa will fit). I paid about $1500 for the stuff. Other than providing beverages, how much should I tip? I'm thinking 40 bucks per guy. It's only three items and they may use an elevator....

    too little? too much?

Wait until they bend down to pick up the sofa and run into them as fast as you can. Bam. Tipped.

Lower your shoulder. Keep your head up. Gotta see what you're hitting.

Otherwise, you could end up hurting yourself.
