Doesn't help that beloved companies like Apple cook up schemes to minimize federal
    and state tax liabilities

Maybe this should go in its own thread, but consider this: You have a guy with a high school diploma who was a B/C average in math and English but has a good work ethic and is willing to learn the basics of running your own business, and decides he may want to open a doughnut shop in town...

...he'll need $500,000 to open a Dunkin Donuts franchise!

    And...

But, hey, "up by the bootstraps, you lazy mofo" equals $500,000 instantly!

Mitt Romney suggested that they borrow the money from their parents.

And, of course, if you want to open a doughnut shop, you HAVE to do it as a nationally franchised business. It's the law, I think. It might even be in the Constitution.

I really don't know how those five or six non-Dunkin shops -- all owned by Koreans or Vietnamese, oddly enough -- within two miles of my home pulled it off. The Senate must have been in recess or something.

The problem with doughnut shops is that they attract a bad element -- cops.

It now appears that Mr Brown may have challenged Officer Wilson:

There isn't one thing new in that whole story.

Well you're more well read than I. X rays of Wilson's blown out eye socket
being presented to grand jury is news to me. He must have had a hell of
a time aiming his gun with one eye.
