Explain to me how policy failures keep blacks in poverty in a way that they don't keep poor white and Native Americans in poverty?

 

Maybe some people are just fucking lazier than others, regardless of color or ethnicity or gender.

Once you're getting free shit, why would you want to stop getting free shit?

There's a segment of society that isn't so ambitious. Easier not to do something than to try.

 

The point isn't that they keep blacks in poverty more than they keep poor whites in poverty. I don't know how that plays out.

The point is that they keep blacks in poverty, as an entire black population, more than they keep whites in poverty, as an entire white population.

Then why does that segment tend to be black instead of white?

 

You'd have to show me the numbers on that question.

 

More blacks were poor.

As a result, more blacks are poor.

Too many poor people are staying poor. Our "policy failures" have gotten people stuck in a cycle of generational poverty.

Nothing you've shown me illustrates that these policies do more to keep blacks poor than any other group.

Whites 11.6 percent.

What's the alternative to entitlements?

 

Except that blacks have a poverty rate of 25.8 percent, and whites have a poverty rate of 11.6 percent. So policies are keepign blacks poor more than another group.

 

Apparently, by starving people we will force them into a life on the straight and narrow, and we will not increase crime in any meaningful way. It's a winner!
