I’m a cop. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me.

There's not a doubt in my mind that the scoundrel responsible for this will be brought to justice swiftly and harshly. Officer Wilson's incident report can just wait a few more months.

"except authorized law enforcement" ... So yes, I would believe that the hypothetical authorized law enforcement officer working as a waiter at Applebee's could carry a concealed weapon, though as Farrar noted, it probably would not be in a hip holster.

LOL. First of all, I think it's funny you think a guy who works as a volunteer cop might work as a waiter, but let's set that aside.

You think Applebees would be required to let him carry at work? Required to? Because of the exemption in the law?

That's so silly I don't know what to say.

    Honestly, think this through.

The law is not talking about people who are employees of establishments. Employees can set their own work rules.

If not, you're telling me that if I hired a reserve deputy to work for me, I couldn't ell him he couldn't carry when he's working for me?

And, what about when I send him out on jobs?

Companies can also set rules for their vendors. Some of them have all kinds of rules.

You think they're all required to let the espresso repair guy carry a gun onto their premisses?

Are you not the one who brought up this hypothetical situation?

When black men get shot, it's always their own fault in the end. Even when they're the President.

    New York's Finest:

NYPD Officers Tyrane Isaac and David Afanador are under criminal investigation after allegedly beating and pistol-whipping an unarmed teen in Brooklyn, as seen in the brutal video below. Kahreem Tribble, 16, had his hands up at the time of the attack.

The two officers were pursuing Tribble after he allegedly dropped a bag of weed and began running at 1311 St. John's Place in Crown Heights. When the clip begins, Tribble gives up the chase, turning to face Isaac, and Isaac gives him a right hook to the head. Tribble puts his hands in the air, then Afandor arrives, gun drawn, and smacks him in the face with it. By this point, the teen is slumped over against a wall, but Isaac throws another punch just in case. Officer Christopher Mastoros then enters the frame, but does nothing to stop the wanton violence.

Neighbors in Wake County, N.C., call police about an intruder in a house. Police tell black teenager to put his hands on the floor. "They was like, 'Put your hands on the door,'" said DeShawn. "I was like, 'For what? This is my house.' I was like, 'Why are y'all in here?'"

They see the pictures of a white family on the mantle, so they promptly pepper-spray him.

He is their foster child and also lives there.

Fortunately, he isn't dead. Could have gone that way.
