I’m a cop. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me.

Apparently he decided to follow the law and stop when ordered. Big mistake. Kid should've just kept running, not a chance in hell those two fatassed lard balls would've ever caught him.

I swear this crap is happening more than ever these days. I think there might be a killer Michael Moore style documentary waiting to be made about today's douchebag cop epidemic.

Is there a greater percentage of douche bag cops today than in the past? I can't imagine that's true.

And, I'd also bet there percentage of racist cops was much higher in the past.

We just have a lot more cameras.

Perhaps you're right. Maybe its just more cameras meaning more getting exposed being douchebags. Which I guess is a good thing.

So it's hard to find per-capita numbers broken down by year. Found a report that broke things out as such:
In 1971, police officers in New York City shot 314 people, killing 93. (In California, the state with the most police involved shootings in 2011, the police shot 183, killing 102.) In 2010, New York City police shot 24, killing 8.

Congratulations to the St. Louis Police Department for their transparency.

I'm sure this is a completely accurate account of what happened, and we'll know the name of the cop involved momentarily.

Story doesn't make a lot of sense:

The nerve of the guy, having to throw his sandwich at the cop three times. And the media have done a terrible job reporting this. What kind of sandwich was it?

The St. Louis Police really deserve credit in this latest case of one of their white officers killing a young black man.

They quickly released the name of the officer involves, and have released the evidence to show that shots were fired at the cop. They also released convincing evidence linking the gun found at the scene to the dead teen.

Great job guys. If only every police force would follow this example.

The officers eventually apologized and left, but they took some of the suspicious okra leaves with them for analysis. Georgia state patrol told WSB-TV in Atlanta that "we've not been able to identify it as of yet. But it did have quite a number of characteristics that were similar to a cannabis plant."
