Apologies if this is here and I missed, but the other two stoner buds at the table with Sean Penn and "Nick Coppola" are Eric Stoltz and Anthony Edwards from ER.

Timothy Busfield is the soldier who fires the mortar that takes out Sgt. Hulka in "Stripes."

In "This is Spinal Tap" there's a party scene with waiters dressed as mimes. Billy Crystal is the head mime waiter who tells a second mime "C'mon, mime is money, mime is money." The second mime he is talking to is Dana Carvey.

"Garden State" is on right now. Didn't realize that Sheldon from Big Bang Theory is the knight screwing Saarsgard's mom.

I remember seeing Kurt Russell on Gilligan's Island, too. He was also in Gunsmoke.

Tobey Maguire was a guest star on Roseanne in 1991

Rick Springfield played Apollo's younger brother in the pilot of the original "Battlestar: Galactica." He is a pilot who gets blown away.

Eileen Ryan, the woman who played Steve Martin's mom in "Parenthood," is Sean Penn's mom.

He was a pilot in a pilot?

You just blew my mind ...

Speaking of Parenthood, Joaquin Phoenix played the brooding teenage boy (Dianne Wiest's son and Martha Plimpton's younger brother).

He was also in the 1986 movie "SpaceCamp" under the name Leaf Phoenix, which also starred the current (I think) Mrs. Steven Spielberg (Kate Capshaw), Lea Thompson, Kelly Preston and '80s movie stalwart Larry B. Scott (Revenge of the Nerds, Iron Eagle, Karate Kid).

Those were some good ones. Liam Neeson in "Krull," totally forgot about that one. I never knew Jack Black was in "Waterworld."

That did spark my memory of another movie Jack Black was in, a bad one, "Airborne." Seth Green was also in it.

As Bill Simmons once pointed out, Larry B. Scott played the gay nerd and a member of Kobra Kai in the same year.
