Toby Huss has now been paired with Julie Louis-Dreyfus twice -- 16 years apart.

He plays her ex-husband in last year's Enough Said. And, of course, he was "The Wiz" on Seinfeld.

My wife loves Twin Peaks so I got her the new box set, which now that we're watching I just realized the guy who plays Jerry Horne was also the guy who clinked the bottles on his fingers and uttered the famous line "Waaariooooors, come out to playaay."

"A League of Their Own" was on TV today, and the credits held two surprises for me. Tea Leoni and Mrs. Wayne Gretzky were listed as players on the Racine team.

That's funny. I remembered that Leoni was in it, but not Mrs. Gretzky.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but saw Smokey and the Bandit tonight and John Schneider was a cowboy in a bar scene, and Sonny Shroyer (Dukes of Hazzard) was a motorcycle cop.

Watched a bit of "Saving Private Ryan" again the other night, and the host of one-scene cameos is astounding. Just a ton of character actors you've seen in different places, and some (Bryan Cranston, Nathan Fillion) who went on to bigger and better things.

Also picked up on something I'd never noticed before. The disturbing scene in the final battle when Mellish (Adam Goldberg) loses the knife fight is set up on D-Day. The knife he's killed with was a Hitler youth knife taken off a dead German. Never put that together before.

Watched "Stripes" last night. A pre- "30-Something" Timothy Busfield is the soldier manning the mortar whose shell knocks Warren Oates off the rope-climbing platform.

    And Debra Winger was hot.

IMDB says Bill Paxton and Dennis Quaid were in Stripes. Quaid as an uncredited extra.
