Is it every year? I was under the impression that it was this year because it's on a Monday, so people throw parties all weekend, plus the actual day.

At any rate, I have a pair of those glasses with the nose and mustache I purchased a few years back at the dollar store. It's my costume every year, and I'm not changing any time for the foreseeable future. One of the eyebrows fell off, but I think that makes it even better.

Stupidest fucking holiday in the world.

We're gonna celebrate a day by dressing little kids up in stupid fake costumes, telling to go up to this house, and ask for some candy to take home and rot your fucking teeth out.

I spend $40 a year on 135 bags of candy and football cards.

I decorate my yard with lights, pumpkins and tombstones.

My daughter has already had Halloween night at church and walked yesterday in the subdivision Halloween Parade, and she will be trick or treating tonight with me, her mother and her friends and their families. We carved pumpkins on Saturday night, and she has loved every second of this.

Halloween is not for the adults. It's for the kids.

If you had fun doing it as a kid, it sort of is your duty to step up as an adult for the kids in your area.

The Americanization of the holiday is what we see, but the roots of it are pretty interesting.

Five bags of candy purchased this morning. Guessing a large amount of it ends up in the office tomorrow, but it's my first Halloween at my house, so no idea how many kids to expect.

$40? That seems a bit low.

For roughly the 136th consecutive holiday, Mrs. Stain waits until the night before to say anything and then says she feels pretty down because we aren't making a big deal about the holiday.

I know there's another thread somewhere about the candy. It's what I love AND hate the most.

Mrs. Coco doesn't help by finding deals on the good stuff like li'l Nestle Crunch and Kit-Kats, and hiding it in a place I can find it ...

Maybe I should dress up as "will power" this year. Nah, no one would believe it was me in that costume.
